Compliance Training For Registered Dealer
The Anti-Money Laundering/Countering the Financing of Terrorism Division (“ACD”) of the Ministry of Law is planning to organize compliance training, focusing on transaction-based requirements, for the registered dealers in the Precious Stones and Precious Metals Dealers sector.
The compliance training aims to enable the compliance officer and customer-facing staff of registered dealers to:
a. Understand the transaction-based and other regulatory requirements;
b. Understand their roles and responsibilities on anti-money laundering/countering the financing of terrorism (“AML/CFT”) compliance;
c. Be aware of the money laundering (“ML”) and terrorism financing (“TF”) risks associated with customers and transactions, and understand the AML/CFT measures in place;
d. Interpret and identify red flag indicators, and how to deal with red flags; and
e. Carry out the AML/CFT measures in compliance with the PSPM Act and PMLTF Regulations.
